Raymond L. Schettino, M.D.

Raymond L. Schettino, M.D. received his Doctor of Medicine degree and graduated with honors from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His postgraduate training also included an internship and residency in general surgery and otolaryngology head and neck surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Schettino was a Fellow in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was also an instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Schettino joined Dr. Schottenfeld in 1990. That same year, he developed the Electrode Endotracheal Tube, which is now widely used by doctors to prevent nerve paralysis during thyroid surgery. He conducted numerous presentations including Granular Cell Myoblastoma of the Larynx, Intracranial Complications of Sinusitis, Efferent Auditory System, and several others related to the head and neck.

Highly respected in his field by colleagues and peers, Dr. Schettino has been recognized by Atlanta Magazine as one of Atlanta’s Top Doctors in 2014 — 2020. He sees patients in the Roswell and Cumming offices.

Dr. Schettino also lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children. He also enjoys flying, travel and running.
