Sunny S. Khichi, M.D.
About Us
Dr. Khichi is a New Jersey native but has called Georgia home for 25 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia as a graduate of the honors program. He went on to the Medical College of Georgia where he was awarded a full scholarship and completed a research fellowship studying the biochemical and clinical manifestations of thyroid cancer. His research earned him a grant from the American Medical Association and a provisional patent.
He completed his ENT residency training at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Dr. Khichi specializes in the treatment of head and neck cancer, sleep disorders, allergy, nasal and sinus disease, voice, hearing and balance disorders, and swallowing in both children and adults. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive office based management of sinus and nasal disease.
Dr. Khichi continues to be involved in medical leadership and serves as a member of the perioperative council at North Fulton Hospital and as a peer reviewer for the Georgia Composite Medical Board. He was recognized by Georgia Trend Magazine as one of Georgia’s Top Doctors for 2020 in Otolaryngology/Ear, Nose, Throat. He was also recognized by GA Top Docs in 2020. Dr. Khichi has been elected as Vice Chair of Surgery at Wellstar North Fulton.
As an assistant professor of Otolaryngology for the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Khichi is able to help educate a generation of future physicians while giving back to his alma mater.
In his free time Dr. Khichi is interested in animal welfare, finance, fitness, and spending time with his daughters, wife, and dog (Georgie-boy).
